Hi there..I've heard about big 3s for a long time and only used 2 of them- not properly. A lot of people are very happy with the result they get from using big 3s. They are

1. Nizoral Shampoo ---- 2. Minoxidil ---- 3. Proscar (Propecia, Finasteride)

I've been taking proscar and using minoxidil for 3 years. Proscar helps a lot with all other parts except the fringe. That should be Minoxidil job. Even if I have to keep using Minoxidil till the rest of my life (I will lose my hair again if I stop), I'm pleased to do it as I love my hair most. I've been using Minoxidil 2% and it didn't work well. I have just changed to 5% not long ago and it works much better. From the study 5% work around 40% better than 2%. The only problem is Minoxidil makes my skin dry and get kinda dandruff or dry skin on my head. But well its ok as long as I don't scratch it. I also order Nizoral shampoo 2%. It looks like all the new things I just started using make me hair shedding more before going back to normal. My condition is getting better. I will update more with some pics.

Dont forget guys - they key is to get into the treatment early..don't wait till its too late. And it doesnt cost that much. I bought Proscar in Thailand. It cost about $40 but will last for four months. The price might be doubled in the US, EU, or AU. Minoxidil costs $20 for 2 months and about $10 Nizoral shampoo..Thats what I pay..around $30 a month..not bad?? Some people might get it cheaper..Let me know the place to buy. I'm in Australia!
PS * all currency I use is USD

    Hello!
Found an article about hair loss treatment. It might be the same thing as you read before but will be very useful if its new for you. I've been having hard time fighting hair loss here too..wish me luck guys!

Hair Loss Solutions - How to Help Stop Hair Loss and Regrow Hair
By Danna Schneider

Hair loss and male-pattern baldness is an affliction suffered by thousands of men, and can be a real source of insecurity and embarrassment for those not ready to lose their hair or shave their head. Even worse, and more devastating are the younger cases where the hair loss process begins long before a man even reaches his thirtieth birthday. So what are your options if you are one of these men, uncontrollably losing your hair before your time?

Well, you can do what many others do ? shave your head for the sake of uniformity. Lots of men look great with a shaved head ? it just fits their personality and style, and they seem comfortable that way. For those unwilling to give up on their hair, there are hairpieces or plugs, neither of which have been perfected to the point of being undetectable, and both having a societal stigma as being somewhat tacky and undesirable.

The other option, of course, is to try one of the hair loss products that several reputable manufacturers now offer, both in prescription and nonprescription form. While there is still no "magic pill" that can unflinchingly promise every man (and woman) who takes it will re-grow their hair, there are some very promising and effective hair loss products and treatments currently on the market and also in development.

Propecia, Rogaine (Monoxadil), Avacor and Proxiphen are just a few of the top prescription and nonprescription hair loss products on the market today, and they've all had varying degrees of success in re-growing their client's hair. Since the demand for hair loss products is so great, there have been many non-prescription hair loss alternatives recently introduced in an effort to offer men (and women) a more economical and convenient alternative to re-grow hair and prevent further hair loss.

Continue reading "An Article About Hair Loss Treatment"

Ok guys - You guys might hear a lot about Minoxidil or Rogaine. Some of you might have been using it for a long time. Let's find out what is the role of it in treating hair loss problem!

What Is The Role Of Minoxidil (Rogaine) In Treating Hair Loss Conditions?

Minoxidil is one of only two FDA-approved treatments for hair loss and is the only anti-baldness drug approved for women. Originally introduced as a medicine to treat high blood pressure, it was noticed that users began to grow extra hair. It is now available without prescription as a topically applied liquid in solutions like Rogaine, but cheaper generic versions are also available. A 2% solution is marketed as a treatment for both men and women, but a 5% version is approved only for men.

The main benefit of minoxidil is its ability to stimulate hair growth - it does not tackle the causes of hair loss, but simply overrides the symptoms. Some uncertainty surrounds the reasons why it works, but it has proven to be a very effective hair loss treatment with minimal risk of side effects.

Hi there, like I said before that I'm into natural hair loss treatment. Found this article and think it is a good piece of information!
Natural Hair Loss Remedies

Fact: There is no sure-fire way to prevent all hair loss.

However, some methods that have been used work on some people. Here are some suggestions for natural remedies to hair loss.

Massage

Massaging the scalp in general for a couple of minutes a day can stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles and in mild cases stimulate some hair growth in minor cases of temporary hair loss.

There are several electric massagers on the market that have an attachment for scalp massaging as well. An oriental method called Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) has been used to increase circulation to the scalp and face also.

Aromatherapy

A blend of six drops each of lavender and bay essential oils in a base of four ounces of either almond, soybean or sesame oil massaged into the scalp and allowed to sit for 20 minutes has been used by aroma therapists to stimulate the scalp.

Saw Palmetto Extract

Continue reading "Another Natural Hair Loss Threatments"

Oh well the world is so unfair. Women don't seem to be bald :( This article will tell you why!! I wish I was born female hehehe

Why Dont We Hear So Much About Female Baldness?

Female baldness is not as common as male baldness, which is probably why we don't hear as much about it. Women are more self-conscious about baldness when it occurs and tend to suffer a lot more psychologically because of it than men do. Female baldness is often caused by hormones, such as the loss of estrogen after menopause, genetics (women are just as susceptible to inherited baldness as men) and the natural hair loss that comes with aging.

The main difference between male and female baldness is that women do not experience a receding hairline when suffering from female baldness. Baldness solutions also differ for both genders because some of the topical products that are prescribed for men do cause hair to grow on other parts of the body. The same thing applies to some of the hair growth pills. Women should contact their doctors to find is a baldness solution that is safe for them to use. There are some topical solutions designed for both men and women that have no harmful side effects. The problem of baldness is bad enough without adding to it with more problems from products that do cause other conditions.

Continue reading "Don't hear much about baldness in women?"

    Hello there,
Sorry for no update on hair loss for a while. I've been buried with tons of work and then long holiday. I found one article that is interesting about hair cloning. It is a good read.

Hair Cloning As A Solution For Hair Loss
by Richard Mitchell

One of the most exciting recent developments in the search to find new solutions for hair loss has been research investigating hair cloning. Properly known as follicle cloning or multiplication, it involves taking a sample of a person's hair follicle cells, multiplying them in a lab and injecting them back into the patient's scalp. The aim obviously is to generate natural hair regrowth without the need for invasive surgery. But can we realistically expect this treatment to become available in the forseeable future?

Unfortunately the process is not yet possible but research is underway to perfect it. Current predictions suggest that it is unlikely to become available to the public for at least ten years.

    Hello guys,
I'm kinda person who are into natural treatments or products so I today have a good article for you :)

Homemade Hair Dressing to Naturally Grow Your Hair

There's plenty you can do to hang on to what hair you have and encourage healthy regrowth without spending an arm and a leg for it. You can start by taking a look in your very own kitchen. If you are suffering from hair loss or baldness, apply a paste of hot olive oil, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder to the scalp before shampooing your hair. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then shampoo. A heat cap may be applied for deeper penetration. Even 5 minutes proved to be effective.

Below are a few simple tips to follow to slow or reverse hair loss from the inside and out:

Air-dry your hair
Avoid drying vigorously with a towel. If you must use a blow-dryer, keep it on a low setting

Hello there,

I remembered I first noticed my hair loss problem when I was about 18. I lost my hair A LOT especially during having a shower. I was really panic and started to do some research. After reading a lot of articles about hair loss on an internet, I was so sure that it was from genetics. My father is bald, my mother's father is bald and all my cousins on mother side are bald. I was pretty sure I got one gene from my father or my mom or prolly both.

I was going crazy about it. I went to a lot of doctors and almost all of them told me not to worry about it because I was still young lol Since I was 18, hair loss has been my nightmare till now. My condition now is not too bad. I forgot to say I'm 23 now. I asked a lot of advice from friends and family and yeah all of them said I looked normal. Still I tried so hard to get some treatments. I saved up all my money and spent ii on various treatment.

Finally I found that what work for hair loss problem from genetics are propecia and minoxidil. I started using both of them before I turned 19 and propecia seems to work quite well but it doesnt help the fringe much. Minoxidil pills didn't really work for me. I had hair all over my body so I stop and used the liquid instead. It still didn't work good because I used only 2%. I'm planning to 5% very soon. I will post my pics too. I also tried a lot of shampoos but I gave up. It costs too much money and didn't really work till I found Mane n Tail (horse shamepoo I posted about before)

People keep telling me not to worry about it till you are actually blad. lol I'm glad that I didn't believe them at that time. If I didn't get any treatments, I would be completely bald now. Again from my experience, don't wait till you are totally bald. Don't wait till it's too late. Take a good care of yourself and you won't regret later.

Now I'm still going bald but it's not too bad at this age. I will keep posting my story and what I've done in more detail! Come back! :D

Fishy

Prevent Hair Fall and Dandruff the Natural Way

Hair loss and dandruff are one of the most irritating disorders that can even make a person depressed at times.

There is a huge market for hair disorders such as hair fall, dandruff, alopecia etc. Companies are making a quick buck and exploiting in the name of herbal remedies. Many of these remedies are not purely herbal and may contain some herb as a component with inorganic and harmful chemicals as the prime component. Such products give only temporary relief, for example, anti-dandruff shampoos widely marketed, give relief only for a day or even lesser period.Ofcourse, there are genuine products in the market and the companies need not be pointed out for it is not their fault alone, but also of consumers who wants a quick remedy! Application of such temporary remedies and easily accessible products is not the right solution for the hair disorders, the solution lies in the age old systems of traditional medicine.

    Hello there,
I loved reading other people's success story about fighting a hair loss problem! It was a good motivation, isn't it? I don't claim I have a success story but I'm very happy with the result that I get. I like the story from one guy on the web board. He's young and had a big problem with hair loss but after he's been fighting, he's got an amazing result. Keep reading the thread! He also posted his pictures too. One of my favourite success story! Don't be discouraged! Fight as much as you can. Even the result isn't good, you won't regret later

Hi there!
Not only does black sesame stop the graying of your hair, it is also a nice natural solution to your hair loss problem. Black sesame is very useful. It is also used in a lot of traditional Chinese medicines. It is a very good source of Calcium (6 times more than cow milk) and Iron so it is good for your nails and bones too. Black sesame is a good ingredient for a lot of Asian dishes and it can be cooked easily in different ways. You can make soup as in the book The Tao of Beauty written by Helen Lee. She uses long-grain white rice and black sesame seeds..simple.

But what I like is to cook it with rice in a rice cooker. It smells very good and you get nice extra taste in your normal rice. Also when you eat salad, use black sesame seeds too with your dressing. You can also use it in Asian styled desserts. I love putting it in hot Soy milk! There are lots of ways to cook and eat it. oh for the food, don't forget to smash the seeds before using your Mortar! It is really good for your health. Eat it at least 3-4 times a week and you will see the result of your hair loss problem! It will prevent you from losing your hair and make your existing hair very healthy!

Hello guys,
I was a little bit unlucky. I was born Asian and after I lost my hair, it is very obvious to see because of the difference better ween my skin and my hair. If I was white and had blonde hair, it would be difficult to see that I started to get bald. Anyway I cannot change my life lol I got to know one guy from the Philippines. He has a serious hair loss problem before. He recommended me use a horse shampoo..hell! yeah a horse shampoo! I saw his photo in the past and him at the present and yeah it does make some difference.
<img width='250' height='250' style="float: left; "border: 0px; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://byebyehairloss.com/uploads/shampoo.jpg" alt="hair loss shampoo" />
Well I never know about it before. and yeah I tried it and satisfied with the result. What it does to your hair is that it makes your head skin very dry. Basically, it clean out the oil over your head and you will feel your hair is harder lol after a few months, I can feel my hair looks a bit thicker and I seem to gain more hair while have less hair loss problem.

Even if it is a horse shampoo, on the bottle there is an instruction for human use too. It won't hurt to try. You might find something that works for you! Its name is Mane 'n Tail! google it

Have a good day!
Fishy

Finasteride was initially marketed to treat prostate conditions under the name Proscar in 5mg pills. It was known to inhibit the formation of DHT, a major contributor to both prostate cancer and male pattern hair loss.

Subsequent research showed that a 1mg daily dose of the same drug was sufficient to control hair loss for 83% of men after two years of treatment. Since 1998 this version has been marketed under the brand name Propecia and it remains the only prescription drug approved by the FDA specifically to treat hair loss. This approval extends only to men's hair loss because of the dangers finasteride presents to unborn male fetuses. Women of child bearing age should therefore consult with their physician before considering the use of this drug.

The main purpose of Propecia is to halt hair loss and maintain what hair coverage is left. It is therefore popular with younger men who want to control hair loss at an early stage. Men of all ages use it in combination with minoxidil to achieve a hair loss strategy that both halts hair loss and encourages new growth.

Propecia works by interfering with the process of androgenetic hair loss which usually follows this process:

Hair Loss In Women - The Role of DHT & Sebum - According to some estimates, Hair loss in women affects one in four women in the U.S.A. alone.

It can be very distressing for a woman, not least because it is so misunderstood and often fails to elicit sympathy from those closest to her. Hair loss in women is usually not so severe as hair loss in men.

Although the numbers of men and women experience hair loss or thinning hair is roughly equal, the degree of thinning is usually less for women.

Male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness are terms used to describe the hair loss and both conditions are known as androgenetic alopecia.

This term means hair loss caused by sensitivity to male hormones which exist in both men and women. DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) is one of the main enemies in the Hair loss in women war.

The effectiveness of modern hair loss treatments is clear for all to see, but many people simply prefer not to use strong chemicals or non-natural substances.

If you fall into this category, does this mean you'll just have to accept an ever-decreasing head of hair? The answer to this is an unequivocal NO!

Many natural hair loss remedies, both traditional and contemporary, have shown their worth in reducing and reversing hair loss. They are also perceived as being free from side effects and even deliver additional health benefits.

Why then, don't we hear a lot more about these natural hair loss remedies? Simply because claims of cures cannot be made without FDA approval, and obtaining the FDA seal of approval involves lengthy and expensive scientific research that only major companies can afford. Even the biggest companies could not recoup the costs of such a process as no-one can control the rights to common natural substances such as basic foods and vitamins.
